🚨 Vehicle Crime Prevention Alert 🚨

We are asking residents to remain vigilant following a recent increase in vehicle thefts in neighbouring areas. Over the last few evenings, four Ford Kugas have been reported stolen. 

Owners of Ford Puma, Ford Kuga and Ford Focus vehicles are encouraged to take additional precautions to help protect their vehicles from theft.

How to Reduce the Risk of Vehicle Theft

Please consider the following crime prevention measures:

✅ Store vehicle keys well away from doors, windows and other entry points.

✅ Use a Faraday pouch or similar signal-blocking device to help prevent relay theft.

✅ Consider fitting a vehicle tracker or using a location-tracking device to assist in recovering your vehicle should it be stolen.

✅ Ensure any CCTV systems, doorbell cameras and security devices are fully operational, with batteries charged where applicable.

✅ Park in a garage or a well-lit, secure location whenever possible.

✅ Use additional visible security measures, such as steering wheel locks or other approved anti-theft devices.

Report Suspicious Activity

Please remain alert and report any suspicious behaviour, particularly individuals acting unusually around parked vehicles, to the police immediately.
